Privacy policy.
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at Chloe Health. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right of privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about our policy, or our practices with regards to your personal information, please contact us at team@askchloehealth.com.
When you visit our website at https://askchloehealth.com, use our mobile applications, and use our services, you trust us with your personal information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we describe our privacy policy. We seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it.
This privacy policy applies to all information collected through our Chloe Health websites, our mobile applications (including the Chloe Health iOS app), and any related services, sales, marketing or events (we refer to them collectively in this privacy policy as the "Services").
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us.
We collect personal information that you provide to us such as name, address, contact information, health and care information, insurance information, passwords and security data, and payment information.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you create an account, when you ask us to help with your care, when you message us (for example in the app, by email, by text message or on WhatsApp), when you upload documents, or when you otherwise contact us.
The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make and the features you use. The personal information we collect can include the following:
Name and Contact Data.
We collect your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, date of birth, and other similar contact or demographic information. If you ask us to help a family member, we collect similar information about that person.
Health and Care Information.
To provide our patient advocacy and care coordination services, we collect information about your health and care that you share with us or that we receive from your health care providers, insurers and pharmacies with your authorization. This can include your conditions, medications and prescriptions, appointments, health care providers, medical records, bills, claims, insurance plan and member details, the content of your messages and documents, and recordings and transcripts of appointments you choose to record.
Appointment Recordings and Transcripts.
If you use the app to record a doctor's appointment, we collect the audio recording and use it to create a written transcript, which we store in your account so you can look back on it. We use a speech-to-text service provider to create the transcript. We keep the audio recording for 30 days and then automatically delete it. We keep the transcript until you delete it or delete your account, and you can delete any recording or transcript at any time. Recordings may include the voices of your health care providers and others present; you are responsible for letting them know you are recording and getting their consent where the law requires it.
AI Assistant.
When you use the Chloe AI assistant, your messages and the information you share with it are processed by artificial intelligence services that we use to generate responses. Replies written by AI are labeled in the app. The AI assistant provides general information and help with health care tasks; it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Before your information is first sent to these services, we ask for your permission in the app.
Account and Security Data.
We collect passwords, password hints and similar security information used for authentication and account access.
Payment Data.
We collect data necessary to process your payment if you subscribe to our services. Payment card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by Chloe Health, and you should review its privacy policies and contact the payment processor directly with questions about how it handles your payment data.
Information automatically collected.
Some information – such as IP address and device characteristics – is collected automatically when you use the Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, app version, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, general location, information about how and when you use the Services, crash reports and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of the Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes. Our website also uses cookies and similar technologies.
Mobile app information.
If you allow notifications, we collect a push notification token so we can send you updates about your requests and messages. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings. Our app asks for your permission before accessing features on your device, such as your microphone when you choose to record an appointment, or your camera or photos when you choose to share a document such as your insurance card, and you can change these permissions at any time in your device settings. The app only uses the microphone while you are recording.
Information collected from other sources.
With your authorization, we receive information about you from health care providers, insurers, pharmacies and other organizations we contact on your behalf. If you choose to sign in with a third-party account (such as Apple or Google), we receive the information you allow that provider to share with us, such as your name and email address.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your information to provide the Services you request, to comply with our legal obligations, for our legitimate business interests, and/or with your consent.
We use the information we collect or receive:
To provide the Services. We use your information, including your health and care information, to coordinate your care, communicate with your health care providers, insurers and pharmacies on your behalf, complete forms you ask us to complete, schedule appointments, and keep you updated on your requests.
To provide the AI assistant and appointment transcripts. We use your messages and recordings to generate AI responses and to create transcripts of your appointments.
To create and manage your account, and to let you sign in.
To communicate with you. We use your contact information to respond to your messages and send you updates about your requests, as well as administrative information such as changes to our terms, conditions and policies.
To send you information about our Services. We may send you news about Chloe Health and new features. These messages are never based on your health information, and you may opt out at any time.
To process payments, refunds and subscriptions.
To keep the Services safe and secure, including for fraud monitoring and prevention.
To improve the Services. We use usage and technical information to understand how the Services are used, fix problems and develop new features.
To enforce our terms, conditions and policies, and to respond to legal requests. If we receive a subpoena or other legal request, we may need to inspect the data we hold to determine how to respond.
WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?
We only share information to provide the Services you request, with your consent, to comply with laws, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
We only share and disclose your information in the following situations:
Health Care Providers, Insurers and Pharmacies. To provide the Services, we share your information with the health care providers, insurers, pharmacies, government programs and other organizations you ask us to contact on your behalf, as described in our Terms of Service and Patient Administrative Authorization.
Service Providers. We share information with companies that perform services for us, such as cloud hosting and data storage, email and productivity tools, messaging and phone services (including text messaging and WhatsApp), artificial intelligence services that power our AI assistant and help us process requests, documents and messages, speech-to-text services that transcribe appointment recordings, payment processing, and customer support tools. These companies may only use your information to perform services for us, are required to protect it, and may not use it for their own purposes, including advertising.
Compliance with Laws. We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, government requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).
Vital Interests and Legal Rights. We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or portion of our business to another company. Any recipient will be required to honor this Privacy Policy.
Advertising Partners (website only). When you visit our public website, advertising companies such as Meta and Google collect information through pixels and cookies, as described in the cookies section below. We do not share information from our mobile app, or any health information, with advertising companies.
With your Consent. We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
ADVERTISING
We do not currently display advertising in our apps or sell your personal information. We will never use or share your health information — including information about your conditions, care, prescriptions, insurance, or the fact that you use Chloe Health's services — for advertising or marketing purposes, and we will never share it with advertisers or data brokers. Our mobile app does not track you across other companies' apps and websites. Our public website uses advertising pixels as described below, but only on marketing pages, never on pages where you sign up, sign in, or share health information. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify you before the change takes effect, and any advertising will rely only on non-health information and the permissions you grant on your device.
DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
Website. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to keep the website working, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure and improve our advertising. This includes advertising pixels from companies such as Meta and Google on our public marketing pages. These pixels may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit on our website, and actions you take there, and the advertising companies may combine it with information they hold about you to show you ads for Chloe Health on other websites and apps and to measure how well those ads work. We do not place advertising pixels on pages where you sign up, sign in, or share health information, and we do not send your health information to advertising companies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out as described in the California Residents section below.
Mobile app. Our mobile app does not use cookies, pixels or advertising software development kits, and does not track you across other companies' apps and websites. Information you share in the app is never shared with advertising companies.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, health care or other legal requirements).
When we have no ongoing legitimate business purpose to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
HOW CAN YOU DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT AND DATA?
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or by emailing team@askchloehealth.com. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, including your messages, documents and appointment transcripts, except information we are required to keep by law (for example, payment and tax records) or need to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Deleting your account also ends the Patient Administrative Authorization, but does not undo actions we already took on your behalf. Copies held in backups are deleted on our normal backup schedule.
HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process, including encryption of information in transit. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, no transmission of information over the internet is completely secure, and the transmission of personal information to and from the Services is at your own risk. Messages sent by email, text message or WhatsApp may not be fully secure; you choose whether to use those channels.
DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A parent or guardian may use the Services to manage care for a minor dependent, in which case the parent or guardian provides the minor's information and consents to its use as described in this policy. If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 18 without that consent, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we have collected from minors, please contact us at team@askchloehealth.com.
CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
The information in the section California Residents supplements the information in our Privacy Policy above, and except as provided herein, applies solely to California residents.
Summary of Information We Collect
California law requires us to disclose information regarding the categories of personal information that we have collected about California consumers (as that term is defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA")), the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business or commercial purposes (as those terms are defined by applicable law) for which the information was collected, and the categories of parties with whom we share personal information. These are described in the sections above.
We or our service providers may collect the categories of information above for the following business or commercial purposes (as those terms are defined in applicable law):
Providing the Services (e.g., account servicing and maintenance, coordinating your care, customer service, and communication about the Services);
Our or our service providers' operational purposes;
Detecting, protecting against, and prosecuting privacy and security incidents and fraudulent or illegal activity;
Bug detection, error reporting, and activities to maintain the quality or safety of our Services;
Investigating compliance with, enforcing, and/or complying with the law;
Short-term, transient use, such as customizing content that we or our service providers display on the Services;
Improving our existing Services and developing new services;
Other uses about which we notify you.
If you are a California resident, you may have certain rights. California law may permit you to request that we:
Provide you the categories of personal information we have collected or disclosed about you in the last twelve months; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third parties with whom we shared personal information.
Provide access to and/or a copy of certain information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information we hold about you.
Delete certain information we have about you.
Limit the use of your sensitive personal information, such as health information, to what is necessary to provide the Services. We already limit our use of it in this way.
You also have the right to not be discriminated against (as provided for in applicable law) for exercising certain of your rights.
If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please email us at team@askchloehealth.com. You will be required to verify your identity before we fulfill your request. You can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. To do so, you must provide us with written authorization or a power of attorney, signed by you, for the agent to act on your behalf. You will still need to verify your identity directly with us.
Certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. For example, we need certain types of information so that we can provide the Services to you. If you ask us to delete it, you may no longer be able to access or use the Services.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the advertising pixels on our public website may be considered "selling" or "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. The information involved is limited to identifiers (such as IP address and cookie IDs) and internet activity on our website. We do not sell or share health information, information from our mobile app, or the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
You have the right to opt out of this selling or sharing. To opt out, email team@askchloehealth.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share," or turn on a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we treat as a valid opt-out request for that browser.
DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS POLICY?
We may change this Privacy Policy. If we make substantial changes, we will provide notice.
Chloe Health may update this Privacy Policy at any time and any changes will be effective upon posting. In the event that there are substantial changes to the way we treat your Personal Information, we will display a notice through the Services prior to the change becoming effective. We may also notify you by email, in our discretion. However, we will use your Personal Information in a manner consistent with the Privacy Policy in effect at the time you submitted the information, unless you consent to the new or revised policy.
HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS POLICY?
If you have questions or comments about this policy, you may email us at team@askchloehealth.com.
